Those clouds exist, but this looks like a composite image of at least 5 layers: 1, the foreground tree silhouettes, 2 the background trees, 3, the birds, 4, a semitransparent layer of a fire opal and 5, the background sky, which consists of at least 2 different cloud images.

Awesome natural painting in the sky. Reminds me of the extreme beauty of the “Aurora Borealis” in the Northern Canadian skies while driving around the Great Lakes towards Manitoba. Another of Nature’s splendors.

Planet Earth can still throw out some amazing things that catch us off guard. Cherish!
