The champion for me was a wonderful English teacher known as Mr Lynch- a wonderful, dedicated man who believed in me. Will never forget him x

Such an important message I wish I could hug her and say thank you for your passion and conviction So thankful for her sharing her beliefs

Would be wonderful if all teachers spoke to the kids that way, you can send happy confident kids to school who are eager to learn young and naive, and it only takes one bad teacher to have your kid come home with broken spirit and then you as the parents or guardians have to pick up the pieces and try and build them up,it can take a long time , but some don't recover and school becomes unbearable but they still go every day hoping that this will be the day the teach might be kind to them and not humiliate you.

I thank God for teachers they turn to switch on and made us fly. Love this 💜

I had so many champions and I am so thankful for each one

I had the privilege of hearing her in person. She is amazing.

Yet so children require a different approach to learning. All the things she alluded to are indicators but not really the reason. Maybe if she changed her tactics in teaching because one style may not fit all. E=mc2

All kids deserve such a teacher!

Love this woman and her passion 😃

I often find myself challenging people who make disparaging comments about the youth of today. I heard similar comments when I was a youth. Maybe if we followed Piersen’s example, we would reveal the positive qualities within all youth. After all, we are their models!

Motivating

Shireen Govender i believe you are a champion 🏆 for that little 👧 girl you spoke to yesterday

What a fantastic soul 🌻x

Brilliant!!!!

Thuy

Well said

Malu pensé en ti, campeona! 💓💪🏻

We need more people like you in this world!! This is the kind of uplift everyone needs. Black, brown, yellow, white. Color doesn't matter. Thank you!!

You can build your strength through practice to make this easier and easier to accomplish, but you do have to work at it........

Rather than investing your energy into that which you cannot control, refocus it and then devote it to that which you can.

Recently I read somewhere that it was what the word “responsible“ implied: Response Able, which means that our power lays in how we ride the waves of life! That is the real art of living. Hope you all learn how to ride them with lots of happiness inside🧡

Respond positively...otherwise walk away. 😅

My philosophy...

❤️🙏🏻🙌🏼👌🏼This🙌🏼👌🏼🙏🏻❤️

Nice one...

this is most important.

This is Shelob. She is HUGE and in my garden taking care of mosquitoes and other pesky flies. She is getting bigger every day and my patio has few bugs. 💖💖💖

I do this every single time!! I feel proud that I’ve raised children that also value life! 😊

I do the same, relocate little creatures, and can catch flies in an instant too. One day in yoga class there was a scream and then a smack! And a squished spider lay dismembered between our mats. Suddenly someone said out loud, 'Wow, that was very yogic!" and after a minute I realized, 'huh, that 'someone' was me'. 🙂

I actually like spiders, they work so hard and dont do any harm in my part of the world.. i do have to admit that really big spiders that run fast (not sure wat theyre called but dont make webs but run instead 😂) did freak me out in the past (avoided my bed for a week and slept on my couch as i last saw it hiding in my bed area) Please try not to kill spiders ❤️

This is so kool.....sometimes out of panic i kill a spider and then go thru grief for hours....... i love these peaceful weapons.... i try to do the same now..... i keep an empty toilet roll (😊) handy together with a piece of cardboard and do the same sort of thing..... its such a more zen gesture and saves me soooo much grief...... ☯️🕉🌻😊🙏🏽

I do the same ! I can not kill anything ! Goes back to my Childhood ! On Easter a mouse got into the house and ate some of the Candy ! I caught it put it in a box and had a friend drive me tot he country about 15 minutes from the city so I could let it go !

Have done this often have even used the same principle to catch mice when my cats brought me presents - but you need to move fast!

Most of the time I leave spiders alone. Only if I suspect it could be a dangerous kind such as brown recluse or black widow, then I might kill it. Yes, I know catching it and putting it outside would be the right thing to do. But then I might get bit!

Also rescued this little guy a couple of months ago but I had to take his picture first! Lol!

There was one in the bathroom the other day. I talked to the Spider and told him/her I do not intend to hurt them. However, since I need to take a shower in the morning, I will need you to be gone when it comes time otherwise, I will need to move you and since I am bigger than you I might accidently hurt you without meaning too. I woke up and he/she was gone. No web, no nothing. 🙂 Getting better with the insects of this world. Still working on the centipedes, all those legs...

I do the same. I used to tell my daughters that spiders in the house were just lost and needed help finding the outdoors.

I do this as much as possible too. Although Might be a bit hard with a scorpion.

So true.. I always try my best not to kill any insect if I don't have to. They have the right to live as much as we do. Most often we take their space, land, trees and mountains and then get annoyed when we see them..as if every piece of land and sea is made just for our pleasures (humans be kind to all living beings)

Nice, but...... spiders inside are pretty much certainly house spiders, so putting them outside is evicting them from their home and probably condemning them to death. Best to shoo them gently into a nice dark hiding place. 🙂

Been doing that for years. I use a clear cup (I call it my bug cup) and a stiff piece of cardboard or lammanet. The cup is clear so that I know the creature is in there and didn't scurry off somewhere - I know I have it. Plus it helps so as to not injure the little thing. Just take it outside and let it go. Be free little creature! 🕷🐞🐝🐛🦂🐜

Papa taught me this as a child. If he saw someone squish a bug he would ask, “how would you feel if a giant bug stepped on you?” I always considered those wise words.

This is a Brown recluse you should stay away from it and if it is inside your house you should kill it, you can't handle brown recluse they are very aggressive and fast you will be bitten before you know it

I always rescue a spider in my house. My grandmother always told me it would bring bad luck to kill one...as well as unkind

I get the sentiment, but ease don't portray a woman as helpless pleading for someone else to kill a spider. Kindness to all doest mean denigrating (even a little) others.

If I find a critter in my house or office, it goes outside. Unless it’s a brown recluse or black widow - those I don’t mess with and they get flushed down the toilet

Exactly!! Unless another living being is an immediate threat to your life, don't kill it. They have equal right to live like humans.

Just rescued a little spider a few days ago! 😎

I have two who live in my extra bathroom. They're not hurting anything and they don't live long anyway.

Yesterday I found an ant coming out of our faucet, I couldn't bring myself to kill him, so I got a little post it note and put him where the rest of the ants hang out. It felt so good to save one life. We are indeed ONE <3

Well unfortunately all we ever find are brown recluses, and they are NOT welcome on the property. So we are eco friendly and have chickens that love to eat them👍 but now jumping spiders are cool and we leave them be!

We never know the inner pain experienced by those who hide behind the smiles to have their loved ones, friends and co-workers not see their turmoil, yet always have us feel good.

I CAN'T SAY THIS LOUD ENOUGH...It's The Unspoken Words That People Don't Hear Or Want To Hear Or See That's SAD LOOK AT THE EYES THEY SPEAK VOLUMES 😪💔

Should be every day not just certain months

These numbers are frightening...this is every day of every week of every year...

More love, less selfishness and less insecurity would be the forerunners in the battle. Then take away the greed for money and possesions. Oops too hard.

No one should have to ever feel alone. As human beings, compassion and empathy are needed. We're all constantly evolving and need to go the extra mile to be there for one another. We can lend an ear to listen, a hand to hold, a shoulder to lean on and arms to embrace. Together we are stronger

You can survive! There is a purpose for us all and even in the dark depths of depression we can find hope and joy! Just don't give up!

Isolation! Which is now enforced by governments worldwide as recommended by the World HEALTH Organisation 🙄

The sensitive people we need most...😢😢

Isn't it every month?

It shouldn’t be a month I get it’s for awareness but people are killing them selves in this plandemic and know one is talking it about it especially the msm

Your right anyone can start up links to individuals to talk Training with Samaritans is excellent Just offer yourself Volunteers always needed Share the load Can be so fulfilling

Meer dan de helft van mensen heeft psychische problemen door Corona maatregelen. Wederom zijn deze erger met hun gevolgen dan de kwaal.

Prevention is every single day though an awareness month may be in order.

The rates peak in Spring and Autumn... let’s all be strong and aware and be ready to help others😊

I want to hear someone say ALL LIVES MATTER. Where ya at? Anyone? Oh this is different and important I get it.

Suicide is a cry for help, so please hyper your awareness to those around you that are in need. And don't be afraid to ask if your ok or do you need to talk.My God I've been there myself, talking to someone saved my life, just be the listener is most important. 🤔🙏

Good luck with that

The numbers the media won't tell you on the news.

Be strong💪👏

Why only September I thought that it would every month

Lol I’m at risk according to that chart.

Dam there no I'm just tired of life, I lived a good life end me now.

It is an Indian Vegan Restaurant and was simply delicious. I definitely will be back and that simple gesture of the sign warmed my heart and my faith in humanity.

What a great pity that our culture doesn't value the instinctive sharing little children show. So so sad when they learn competing with each other is considered to be more important.

What a beautiful shot and of course fantastic values of those who don't have much!

Is this a true story? We can learn from those wonderful young children!

Beautiful - that's the way to be brought up - congrats to their village for it takes a village to help bring up a child <3

I’m not tearing. The beauty of such a thought, simply wrings out the pain 🙏🏼

This is pure perfection. If the whole world would unite as one, we’d be so much better off!

we get told what a good ,reach, free nation we are.to read that we are very poor

I keep thinking of Trumps sons analogy (about social health care I think) of the kid who is expected to share his Halloween loot with another kid who didn't work for it...and how unfair that was, I thought WOW...

An overlooked facet of certain cultures is the common good, being a team member. The Japanese have a saying: "the nail that stands the tallest receives the hammer's first blow" Individualism isn't always prized.

I love the imagery of their feet and heads in a circle.

Actually "UBUNTU" is a Zulu word and it's means Humanity in English......wonderful lesson thou❤ All the way from RSA🙏

Unfortunately, we in America teach our young in a culture that is the opposite of this mentality. Greed is a terrible emotion.

They look like a flower.

To uplift our country, we need change – systemic change. BUT, virtually no one is discussing HOW. It is past time to begin a REAL DIALOGUE ABOUT HOW TO CHANGE PEACEFULLY! If you want to explore the only peaceful way and effective way to restore our government to governing by the consent of the governed and being committed to the rights of Life (Including Universal Health Care), Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness equally for all, my book UBUNTU: I AM BECAUSE WE ARE is worth reading. Most of the solutions presented in today’s politics are at best ineffective and at worst harmful. The problems allowing the subversion of our government to wealthy interests and ignoring the citizens needs and desires are complex and difficult to remedy. My book presents the only peaceful way to accomplish needed changes. It is based on the concept of leadership creating progress through team building as I experienced it in working in the public sector for over three decades. UBUNTU: I AM BECAUSE WE ARE is available on Amazon. Johnkoelsch.com – check my blog.

A way for humanity to get through the Pandemic if we could only follow this lesson from these wise children.

Beautiful example of, “God’s true love”.

Love that ❤ people can learn from these kids.

Where did these youngsters learn this wisdom?

Thank you so mich, Kevin. I needed this affirmation.

What a wonderful lesson in unselfishness and humanity .

I wish that would catch on here! What is amazing is, they don't have much and want to share!

The purest example of what humanity should strive for.

So beautiful the innocent children. We all need to follow them.

Beautiful lesson of sharing!! 🙏 💗Its usually those who have least that share the most and are the happiest. Love the picture! ❤️💜🧡💛💚💙

Yes. That's really beautiful. A grandmothers group here is called Ubuntu.

Went out with a few friends who invited us to this new place to eat out in Glebe and when I saw this sign in the window, I knew why he bought me here. We happily paid full price and supported this place that support the less fortunate in our community without judgement. Covid has added to hard times and homelessness
It is an Indian Vegan Restaurant and was simply delicious. I definitely will be back and that simple gesture of the sign warmed my heart and my faith in humanity.
Full stomach and a fuller heart.

"Have you ever noticed how when you're deeply in the moment with the smell of flowers, or a smile from your beloved, or the wind blowing in the trees, that everything you think about yourself and your life just melts away?

Could that be closer to who you really are than anything you can think up?"

~ Michael Vaccaro
Just keep doing that 😊

“In the Kabbalastic tradition, the development of the soul is represented by a symbol called the Tree of Life. Its a kind of map to divinity which respects the polarities, and the middle way between them. Upon the tree are 10 sefirot, or spiritual principles, by which the world is created. Though it is a rich and complex system, I’d like to speak about one pair of counterparts; Chesed and Gevurah.

While Chesed is boundless loving kindness, Gevurah is “no more.” It is the restraint of our natural impulse to bestow goodness. It’s the line drawn in the sand. While Chesed draws the other close, Gevurah is boundaries. It is the withdrawal which holds the other accountable.

Together, Chesed and Gevurah act to create a dynamic balance in the soul’s navigation of relationships & the world. Paradoxically, (and here’s the juicy part) it is Gevurah’s withdrawal which creates the potentiality for Chesed to occur! In other words, the discipline you expect of others is actually an expression of love. Different from judgement, Gevurah is the tenacity to our own & others’ greatest potential.

Though asserting your boundaries rarely feels ‘good’ in the moment, it is ultimately a loving gesture to recognize someone’s capability and say, “I expect better from you.” To say NO is a potent medicine which places responsibility where it truly belongs, and invites the other to live up to honouring those limits.

"Heading home this afternoon, I saw an older white woman lying flat out on the sidewalk on the corner of Peoria and 49th Street, with a young Asian woman trying to talk to her. I did a quick u-turn and pulled into the parking lot of Burger Street just as another car pulled in. I jumped out of my car at the same time that a young black man jumped out of his. We both did a quick check and found that the woman was using a walker and had fallen backwards hitting her head on the cement. I said I would call 911, the young black man went to his car and got a soft jacket and gently placed it under her head to shield her head from the scorching cement sidewalk (it was 100 degrees today). Soon other angels began to arrive. One young white woman got an umbrella out of her car to shield the woman’s face from the sun, another got towels out of her car to place under the woman’s bare arms. A young Hispanic employee from Burger Street came out with a bucket of clean, cool water and a rag to place on her forehead. We all: Black, white, Asian and Hispanic worked together to aid an older white woman who had fallen. This is the America I love and believe in. One with compassion, kindness, and love, regardless of race, age or sex." - Cindy Wagoner Webb

You just never know...

Quote by Nikki Banas
"Barely the day started and... it's already six in the evening.
Barely arrived on Monday and it's already Friday.
... and the month is already over.
... and the year is almost over.
... and already 40, 50 or 60 years of our lives have passed.
... and we realize that we lost our parents, friends.
and we realize it's too late to go back...
So... Let's try, despite everything, to enjoy the remaining time...
Let's keep looking for activities that we like...
Let's put some color in our grey...
Let's smile at the little things in life that put balm in our hearts.
And despite everything, we must continue to enjoy with serenity this time we have left. Let's try to eliminate the afters...
I'm doing it after...
I'll say after...
I'll think about it after...
We leave everything for later like "after" is ours.
Because what we don't understand is that:
Afterwards, the coffee gets cold...
Afterward, priorities change...
Afterwards, the charm is broken...
Afterward, the charm is broken...
Afterward, the kids grow up...
Afterward, promises are forgotten...
Afterwards, promises are forgotten...
Afterward, comes the night...
Afterward, life ends...
And then it's often too late...
So... Let's leave nothing for later...
Because by waiting, we can lose the best moments,
the best experiences,
the best friends,
the best family...
The day is today... The moment is now..."
