Enova Power Company

Enova

Australia’s first community-owned renewable energy retailer.

Enova Community Energy is a social enterprise facilitating local communities to take control of their own energy supplies, move away from fossil fuels and reduce the impact of climate change.
As Australia’s first community-owned energy retailer, Enova was established to help change the nation’s centralised, coal-dependent energy system by introducing alternative models where households and businesses can generate, store and share renewable energy and lower costs. By taking care of their own energy, communities can keep money circulating in local economies to benefit people, jobs and businesses.

.

As a leader in the transition to renewables, Enova has already embarked on innovative projects including microgrids, solar gardens and community-based partnerships.
Through its not-for-profit arm, half of Enova’s proceeds go back into community renewable energy projects, education and energy efficiency services.
Enova Energy is an electricity retailer and currently retails electricity across regional NSW to both residential and small business customers and offers a range of renewable energy options.

Enova's Energy Coaches were out in force as part of the recent Energy Systems for a Changing Climate event at the Byron Community Centre.

This team of volunteers are passionate about helping households reduce their carbon footprint (and their energy bills) by reducing the energy they consume. They offered a free session for energy consumers to learn how to get their bills – and household emissions – down.

The Energy Coaches are a wealth of knowledge on energy-saving tips and tricks. Enova started the Energy Coach program to create energy aware communities through energy efficiency education.

Enova actively works to support its customers and the community to reduce their energy consumption, based on the philosophy that "Every kWh of energy saved is one that doesn't need to be produced!".

Enova is providing a free training on Saturday 29th Feb from 9am, about how to reduce household energy consumption.

This face to face information session, delivered by the Australian Sustainability Institute, is free. Another Q&A session will be offered from 2:30pm will explore the ins and outs of solar battery systems. Registration is essential as the sessions are nearly at capacity.
